Minced Garlic

Most people I know avoid mincing garlic like they avoid driving to Brooklyn on a week day! Garlic can be very sticky to work with, making it difficult to mince into small pieces when you’re armed solely with a knife. Enter salt! Adding just a little salt and alternating between a smashing motion and classic dicing works every time! And there are bonuses! Smashing salt into the garlic actually cures it, taking away a good part of the often unpleasant ‘sting’ garlic is known for, and it also gets rid of some of the gassiness as well. Once you’ve tried this method, you’ll never go back!
